Job description
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Application Development:** Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, and then design, develop, test, and deploy PHP-based web applications and features that meet business needs.
2. **Code Optimization:** Write efficient, clean, and maintainable PHP code following best practices. Optimize code for performance and scalability, ensuring fast loading times and smooth user interactions.
3. **Database Integration:** Develop database structures, queries, and APIs to efficiently manage and retrieve data. Ensure data integrity and security in line with industry standards.
4. **Front-End Integration:** Integrate front-end components with back-end logic, working closely with front-end developers to ensure a seamless user experience.
5. **Technical Problem Solving:** Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and challenges that arise during the development and deployment process.
6. **Version Control:** Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage codebase changes, collaborate with team members, and maintain a well-documented development history.
7. **API Integration:** Integrate third-party APIs and services into applications, enabling enhanced functionality and data exchange.
8. **Security:** Implement security measures to protect applications against common vulnerabilities, such as SQL injection, XSS attacks, and data breaches.
9. **Performance Monitoring:** Monitor application performance and conduct regular code reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure code quality.
10. **Stay Current:** Stay updated on industry trends, PHP advancements, and emerging technologies to suggest innovative solutions and continuous improvement.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a PHP Programmer or web developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing PHP-based projects.
- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
- Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus.
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools.
- Solid understanding of web security principles and best practices.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, code organization, and documentation.
- Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and meet project deadlines.
