Location - Goregaon, Mumbai

Job Summary - Come join our growing Group Finance team in our Mumbai Centre of Excellence (CENX)!

The role reports to the Senior Finance Manager for the CENX, who is also based in Mumbai. This role will be crucial to establishing global ways of working around how we recognition and report on revenue across the Group under IFRS 15 , Global billing , collection and Intercompany process. The role is exciting and visible as we look to improve YouGov's Finance capabilities, moving work from regional teams to establish global ways of working.

What will I be delivering

Team:

• Oversee a team of 14 people.
• Develop team members to boost productivity and growth.
• Created a culture of continual development & process improvement within the team.
• Ensure that what is committed is Delivered.

Process:

• Manage Global billing process and ensure day to day invoicing, customer queries and cash application are handled for regions like US, UK, APAC, Europe, MENA etc.
• Run the Global intercompany billing process & cost share.
• Drive the contract review process under IFRS 15 and ensure robust internal process to approve the sales orders.
• Review the fair valuation for multi element deals.
• Determination of Standalone selling price of new products or services.
• Calculating the fair value impact on multi element deals.
• Writing and / or approving revenue accounting memo for large deals.
• Manage month end account receivable subledger and revenue accounting process.

Collaboration:

• Support RTR team for Unbilled, deferred and Barter GL reconciliation.
• Maintain and develop the relation with sales, sales operation & regional finance teams and constantly drive the process improvements.
• Support the various Group and local internal, external and SOX Audits.
• Bring the ICFR and ensure they are operating effectively.
• Monthly reporting process, team performance dashboard on OTC process.

What do I need to bring with me

Demonstrated knowledge and experience.

• At least 7 years of experience of IFRS 15 / ASC 606 and revenue accounting
• A CA, CPA, or ACCA is required.
• Experience of using NetSuite and Power BI preferred
• Attention to detail to ensure accounting entries are correct.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong service orientation/responsiveness
• Excellent Excel skills
• Ability to write papers and policy to justify accounting decisions.
• Deal with audit questions (previous experience as an auditor would be very useful)

Technical skills and qualifications

• Chartered Accountancy qualification or equivalent
• IFRS Certification / experience is advantage.
