Job description
Job Overview :As a Quality Engineer at ACV Auctions, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standard of our software products. You will be responsible for both automated and manual testing of our applications, ensuring that they meet our stringent quality criteria before reaching our customers.Key Responsibilities :- Develop and execute automated tests to ensure product quality.- Perform manual testing where automated testing is not feasible, including exploratory, functional, and regression testing.- Collaborate with the development team to understand product changes and identify testing needs.- Design, develop, and maintain test scripts, test cases, and test plans.- Analyze test results, document defects, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and methodologies.- Maintain a deep understanding of the products and business processes to provide effective testing coverage.- Participate in agile development cycles and attend all agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives.Required Skills :- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on both automated and manual testing.- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- Strong experience in developing automation scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.- Proficient in manual testing techniques and methodologies.- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and CI/CD processes.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
