Job description

Applications are invited from eligible candidate for the position of 'JRF' in the research project titled 'Magnetorheological Nano-Finishing of Diamagnetic and Paramagnetic Work Parts Surface for Improved Functional Performance' funded by the CSIR.

Position - Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Project Title - Magnetorheological Nano-Finishing of Diamagnetic and Paramagnetic Work Parts Surface for Improved Functional Performance

Qualification

B.E/B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering/ Mechatronics Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering/ Automation and Mechatronics or any other equivalent specialization or M.E./M.Tech. in Machine Design/CAD/CAM Engineering/Production Engineering / Automation and Mechatronics or any other equivalent specialization, and GATE/NET-LS qualification qualification as applicable.

OR

BS-MS/M.Sc or equivalent degree in Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry/Sciences or allied Science subjects, and NET-LS/GATE qualification as applicable .

Emoluments (per month) - Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (for candidates qualified in GATE/ CSIR-NET or equivalent examinations)

Tenure - Three years or up to the termination of project, subject to annual performance review

Job description

To perform assigned work on the experimental and analysis of magnetorheological nano-finishing of diamagnetic and paramagnetic work parts surface for improved functional performance

• Appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on termination of the project.
• The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment / absorption in Funding Agency or in TIET Patiala.
• Appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency (CSIR).
• No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
• Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately (within a week) on receipt of the offer.
• Selected candidates are strongly encouraged to join the PhD programme at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.
