Responsibilities:
- The IT Asset Manager is the primary responsible for enterprise-wide planning, tracking, controlling, analysing and reporting of all hardware and software asset activities. Closely working with all the Technology Infrastructure and Finance groups to ensure the accuracy of data in the Asset Management repository.
- He is point of accountability for the life-cycle management of information technology assets throughout the organization.
- Included in this responsibility are development and maintenance of policies, standards, processes, systems and measurements that enable the organization to manage the IT Asset Portfolio with respect to risk, cost, control, IT Governance and compliance.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to asset management. Able to collaborate with various departments to track, evaluate, and safeguard the company's assets while contributing to overall operational efficiency.
- Establish, evolve and manage the processes and policies for IT Asset and software compliance management. Understanding of IT hardware/software licensing/maintenance models .
- Set strategic direction for IT asset management in conjunction with internal and external audit processes. Ensure Enterprise-Wide software support renewals .
- Oversee the management of all IT assets accurately throughout all locations/offices . Ensure procurement and delivery is in line with the expectations for all offices within south Asia.
- Central Point to Manage Supplier and Internal Audit Responses. Ensure support and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing asset management. Generate regular reports on asset performance, usage, and compliance for management review. Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to assets.
- Liaise with vendors for procurement, maintenance, and disposal of assets. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms for asset-related services.
- Influence and manage asset management aspects of ongoing relationship with established IT Suppliers.
- Establish and Manage Demand, procurement and delivery processes from IT perspective in collaboration with Support groups. Deep proficiency with software license management and related procurement practices
- Able to maintain the IMACD for all the movement, addition and change of the assets.
- Collection of the Secured wiping of tenured leased assets data & co-ordination with leasing vendors on laptop disposal.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop strategies to retain leverage with managing and using existing IT assets, in particular software assets.
- Generation of the MIS report as per the process on timely as well as accurate manner.
- Serve as subject matter expert and manager for global software asset tracking and asset management program, process, tools and collaboration.
- Manage process for tracking adherence and usage of asset management processes and tools. Provide oversight develop metrics and standard operating procedures for all hardware and software license management.
- Provide detailed weekly and monthly status reports to management for IT assets, compliance, and project assignments.
- Realize opportunities for asset optimization and ensure mitigation of risks associated with IT assets. Accountable for documenting savings, avoidance and risk management. Familiarity with IT Cost Saving initiatives and reporting to stakeholders effectively.
- To able to manage the data of the assets reported as untraceable and financial closure of these transaction as applicable.
- Support vendor management , Experience working with IT Suppliers (HP, Dell, Canon, Microsoft, Adobe Etc.), Microsoft Office Professional experience.
- Ability to Travel (when required to fulfil assigned tasks).
As a prospective candidate, you should possess:
- 7-8 years of experience in the information technology field. 5-6 years of experience in IT Asset management domain.
- Exposure to asset management tools or modules in ticketing tools like Service Now.
- Strong data management skills with advance knowledge in MS Excel.
- Vendor Management, Asset Management, Procurement Management
- ITIL knowledge especially in IT asset domain
- Good communications and interpersonal skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree from Govt. approved university.
Certifications: ITIL, IT/Computer Science in case of Graduation in non-IT stream,
IT Asset Management, Tool Administration (Service Now)
