- Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Mission Systems Division (MSD) in the Aerospace Business. This position will be based in Pune, India.
- The primary responsibility of this role is to design and develop Aerospace MSD (Mission System Division) Products to meet product requirements including safety, reliability, and conformance to standards.
- The candidate in this position is responsible for the successful leading and execution of a wide range of Aerospace Mission Systems related projects, including New Product Introduction, VAVE, B&P, and Sustaining Engineering, while driving continuous improvement to meet project KPIs (Focus 5, NPI Efficacy), and ensure stakeholder and customer satisfaction.
- Should have experience in New Product Development (NPD) & Internal Research & Development (IRAD) programs preferably in the Aerospace industry.
- Working knowledge of overall design engineering processes encompassing Design - Qualification - Product Launch is required.
- Should have proficiency in mechanical and pneumatic design & drafting (CAD tools), GD&T & statistical tolerancing.
- Candidate should have proficiency in preparing and managing schedules, NRE (Non recurring engineering estimates), risk management; good communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written with an ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and global stakeholders.
Qualifications Requirement :
- B.E/B.Tech or ME/M.tech in Mechanical / Aerospace and related engineering areas
- Master's degree - 5-7 years or Bachelor's degree - 7 to 9 years experience in product design & development in Aerospace industry
- Candidate should have experience and know-how in developing business proposals handling RFI/RFP/RFQ process by providing engineering inputs to customer inquiries, creating solutions and estimating materials, testing costs, and Engineering NRE for Aerospace products/programs
- Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Provide manufacturability perspective for early concepts and help validate through building appropriate designs. Assist with building prototypes that help in proof of concept and work with external vendors/suppliers.
