Hybrid Working
Structured hybrid role:
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please discuss the working pattern requirements for the role you are applying for with the hiring manager. Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.

Introduction:
Successful candidate will work with other Product owner colleagues and collaborate with customers/banking ops to understand their business needs and translate requirements into comprehensive product specifications. Continuously enhance product specifications based on customer feedback and industry trends.
Collaborate with operations, customer support and DevOps function and work closely with technical team. Define user stories and create a product backlog. They serve as a primary point of contact on the customer's behalf to recognize the requirements of the product for the development team. This product backlog acts as a prioritized set of customer requirement in Cards Platforms
The Product Owner acts as the primary point of contact between the technical team, customers. Representing the stakeholders, and has the mandate to prioritise scope(functions/features) on behalf of the business. Creating and maintaining a prioritised Product Backlog, ensuring it is visible, transparent and clear.
The Product Owner ensures compliance with the allocated budget and the deadline. To sum it all up, the Product Owner is primary responsible for the design of a product.

What will you be doing
. Maintain knowledge of relevant technologies at the core/internals levels in order to act competently in Subject Matter Expert role
. Work with the teams in building and owning a product structure of epics, features and stories
. Adjust features and priorities dynamically based on user feedback and realignment of business demands
. Accept or reject features delivered by development teams during sprint cycles and keeping customers/users informed of status
. Support the Product Manager and Subject Matter Experts for successful User Acceptance Testing and product adoption by business
. Contribute to team standards, engineering best practices and quality standards, and help ensure the team meets them
. Maintain consistent communication with leadership to provide progress updates and align product initiatives with company goals.
. Partner with Lead Engineers, Architects, Operation leads and broadly colleagues within operations & technology community to coordinate strategies and technology investment recommendations
. Analyse user feedback, market trends, and competition to recommend features that enhance the product and improve user experience.
. Contribute to Establish, maintain and enhance relationships with open-source and commercial vendors, consultants/SIs and other relevant 3rd parties

What we're looking for:
. Graduate / Post graduate degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields
. Experience of 6+ years of Product Management experience in delivering/supporting banking products within a product company / in financial institutions or retail cards domain or technology companies
. Proven experience deep understanding and implementation of IT business strategies
. Proven digital transformation experience: relevant, size, scale, scope, maturity of organisation
. Extensive leadership experience demonstrable track record of motivational and achievement oriented leadership
. Proficiency in data science, data engineering, and cloud technologies. Technical background (e.g., software development, data analysis) is a plus.

Skills that will help you in the role:
. Financial or Cards industry relevant background
. Experience of working to tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment
. Experience in Product management/owner in banking products within a product company/BFSI
. Experience of working and building solutions in public cloud (AWS)
. Familiar in the areas of AI/ML and analytics.
