Purpose of the position

This role exists to deliver the systems of a given function into all the PVBU and EVBU programs within the defined Quality, Cost, and Timeline targets.
It is responsible to cascade the objectives of a given vehicle platform into the COCs and drive coordination inside the function to ensure deliveries to vehicle platform.

Relevant Experience :
1.12+ years of experience in automotive domain of product engineering with electrical and electronics development background.
2.In depth knowledge of products, development process & technologies
3.Experience of at least 2 full product development cycles
4.Experience in VAVE & Quality issue resolution
5.Experience in Resource & Budget planning
6.Experience in managing team of VMTL or equivalent
7.Knowledge of Regulatory requirements in domestic & export market.

Key Responsibilities :

1Product Development
- Plan, Cascade & track project level requirements to module level requirements to meet agreed quality, cost & time targets through deployment of NPI process
- Identify risk at project level & mitigate plan at an early stage, shorten the product development lifecycle, enhance the design quality,.
- Estimate budget & control and monitor the approved budget for PVBU or EVBU platforms from Pre KO to SOS for respective CoC.
- Review the module development to meet set targets of cost, weight, PAT, reliability, regulation & project timelines effective solutions and propose implementation in the project
1.Timely delivery of the aggregates as per the project timeline.

2Product Sustainability
- Plan & review engineering changes by seeking periodic inputs from VIG, customers, marketing, manufacturing and service to enhance customer experience
- Review and drive corrective measures on Quality issues wrt engineering and implement the learning in Engineering Product Development Processes
- Evaluate VA/VE initiatives & ensure implementation in existing products for profitability
