Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Part Time Ophthalmologist Phaco Surgeon to join our prestigious ophthalmology department. As a Phaco Surgeon you will be responsible for performing phacoemulsification surgeries to treat cataracts and other eye conditions. Your expertise in ophthalmology and phacoemulsification techniques will play a vital role in improving the vision and quality of life for our patients.
In this parttime role you will work closely with our team of ophthalmologists and assist in diagnosing eye conditions conducting preoperative assessments and providing postoperative care. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other specialists in our stateoftheart facility ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform phacoemulsification surgeries to remove cataracts and correct other eye conditions
- Conduct preoperative assessments including patient history physical examinations and diagnostic tests
- Develop individualized treatment plans and discuss surgical options with patients
- Provide postoperative care including monitoring patients progress and managing any complications
- Collaborate with other ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology and phacoemulsification techniques
- Participate in departmental meetings conferences and educational programs
Qualifications Skills and Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
- Board certification in Ophthalmology
- Valid state medical license
- Proven experience in performing phacoemulsification surgeries
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmic diseases conditions and treatments
- Excellent surgical skills and handeye coordination
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong problemsolving abilities
