Job description
The security guard will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. They will enforce security policies and procedures, conduct patrols, monitor surveillance equipment, and respond to incidents as necessary. The ideal candidate should possess strong observation skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure the security of the premises.
Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address security risks and vulnerabilities.
Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, or other criminal activities.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, and take appropriate action to resolve them.
Provide assistance and guidance to visitors, employees, and customers, including giving directions and answering inquiries.
Maintain accurate records of security-related activities, including incident reports, daily logs, and shift summaries.
Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed during security incidents or emergencies.
Conduct security screenings of individuals and vehicles entering or leaving the premises.
Perform security checks of equipment, doors, and windows to ensure they are properly secured.
Report any safety hazards, security breaches, or unusual activities to management immediately.
Participate in training sessions and drills to enhance security awareness and emergency preparedness.
Follow all company policies, rules, and regulations, as well as local laws and ordinances, while on duty.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while representing the company.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security or law enforcement preferred.
Valid security guard license or certification as required by state regulations.
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
Physical fitness and ability to perform duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with security equipment and systems.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Clean criminal record and drug-free status.
