Job description

Job Description: This role is to be filled by diploma or technical certificate holders
in Civil/Structural Engineering with experience in the field of civil
& structural design. Candidates shall possess a minimum
experience of 5 years in detail design of Chemical plants, Oil &
Gas industries, Power plants or other Industrial projects.
As a member of a multi-disciplinary project design team, a
Civil/Structural designer is responsible for design of civil and
structural components for Chemical Process Units. He/She shall
utilize applicable design criteria, design tools, best practices,
and established work processes to complete detailed design
packages. He/She will work with design engineers to complete
targeted tasks and assemble contract packages in accordance
with the project schedule.
He/She shall perform layout and other design activities in order
to produce information, specifications, and documentation for
the construction and maintenance of process and utility plants.
Responsibilities/Key Deliverables:
 Conversant with International Detailing practices & codes of
practice, preferably AISC, ACI, DIN & Eurocodes.

 Drafting of foundation, concrete, structural steel layouts and
details.
 Deliver Quality project deliverables adhering to Owner’s
drafting standards and work processes
 Prepare/ update 3D model for design progress &
subsequent extraction of drawings for construction,
compliant with the work processes.
 Accountable for quality & timely execution of the assigned
scope of work.
Required experiences and skills include the following:
 Strong initiative and team dynamics capabilities.
 Strong interpersonal relationship and time-management
skills.
 English language written and oral communication skills.
 Ability to work with a wide variety of detail design leads/
designers, including other detail design disciplines and
personnel from diverse cultures.
