What this job involves

POSITION GOALS

Comprise of all Equipment, Utilities and Infrastructure in the scope of RE as per Shell guidelines. Preventive and Predictive Maintenance activities for all M&E assets as per plan, adherence to HSSE standards of Shell, preparation of budgets for M&E related activities, Training Plan and implementation, Energy Management, Statutory Compliances, Vendor Management, People Development.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • The Engineer must be a team player and a leader in his own sphere and work with other members of the team to meet all key performance indicators as set out in the management contract.
  • To provide the Comprehensive facility, contract and procurement management for technical Services to the client.
  • To be accessible for all M&E technical related issues during the shift.
  • Establishing all engineering process & procedures for M&E activities.
  • Plan, Schedule and implement 52 Preventive Maintenance Schedules for all RE assets.
  • Plan for and ensure availability of all critical and non-critical spare parts.
  • Ensure to have strict compliance with local and national statutory rules & regulations and ensure that all the relevant statutory returns pertaining to all the areas of Campus Operations are submitted to the concerned statutory authorities.
  • To manage the Operation & maintenance Vendors and AMC vendors related to M&E services.
  • To support Lab related services and requirements 24 x 7.
  • To ensure all Engineering related records are updated and maintained regularly.
  • To adhere and maintain all SLA and KPI as agreed.
  • Active participation for taking up the new facilities
  • Active participation in addition and alteration of the facility.
  • To be part of all audits as per Shell requirements and to closet out on the action points as agreed.
  • To have Training Plan for all team members and implement the same for effective skills development.
  • To prepare and submit necessary reports as required.
  • Monitor energy consumption at Campus per established procedures
  • Review monthly trends
  • Prepare and implement Energy Management Program for campus
  • Manage action requests and escalations if any by clients for any engineering related issues.
  • Leadership / Staff Management:
  • Actively encourage an environment that supports teamwork, co-operation & performance excellence across the facilities
  • Act as manager and a coach for the team ensuring high staff morale, trust and work ethics.

COMPETENCIES

  • Refer for Key Performance Measures as mentioned below
  • HSE Plan implementation: Demonstrate HSE leadership in driving plan, initiatives & action with visible outcomes
  • 'Goal Zero'- Incident prevention (No Fatalities / LSR violations. Demonstrate proactive approach on prevention of Incident, Cross-Site learning and sharing & Strong HSE Culture
  • Control of Sub-contract HSE & Statutory regulation compliance adherence at all times
  • Availability of Critical Assets: Proactive Maintenance Plan to ensure 99% uptime of Critical Assets
  • Service quality & change/project management: Innovative delivery of value for SHELL through process implementation (MBI), Quality management and Projects with mini score card, etc.,
  • Work scheduling, execution and administration: Delivery 99% of reactive work completion within the OLA
  • Completion of agreed contract management actions and review/update of the site risk assessment & controls: Review and update Hazard and Effects register
  • Cost Management and Efficiency Analysis: Execution of plan to realize mitigation of cost impacts. Analysis of monthly and YTD spend with remedial action where needed Opportunity targeting & implementation: Realize Radical proactive cost restructuring, Proactive targeting of savings opportunities
  • Should have good knowledge in HSSE aspects.
  • Should have the required skill for Contractor / Vendor Management as part of the competency
  • Must possess skill to do a Risk Assessment and plan the management of risk with a required risk mitigation plan
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills along with local language preferred
  • Should have good experience to handle critical equipment maintenance and shut down activities on critical equipment maintenance
  • Demonstrated initiative as a leader on engineering functional areas
