Consilium Recruit are proudly supporting a leading global engineering solutions provider who are working in partnership with some of the world’s most influential names in the Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Tech, Energy, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Rail and Semi-Conductor industries.
We are seeking a number of Model Based Systems Safety Engineers to join their team on a permanent or contract basis. You will work on a hybrid working pattern with the head office based in the Bedfordshire area, where site presence is required 3 days per week.

The Role:
Safety Systems Engineer is a capability role which demonstrates integration between the Safety Engineering and Systems Engineering processes using MBSE. Hybrid working is available with 3 days per week onsite in Luton.
Key responsibilities include:
Understanding systems requirements, breakdown of requirements to sub-systems.
Production of engineering management plans
Production of SOWs and design review documentation
Support generation of test strategy, test plans & test documentation
Support system integration and test activities, working closely with hardware, software & firmware teams to achieve project milestones/deliverables
Support verification of system & sub-system requirements
Define verification methods/ tests & show traceability to systems/sub-system requirements
The Person
We have requirements for individuals at a number of levels but candidates should currently be working in a role with extensive Systems Engineering responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience Required for the Systems Engineer role:
Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maths or Physics.
Experience of requirements management using DOORS.
A good understanding of MATLAB/Simulink
Systems integration and/or test experience of complex, high-reliability systems
Experience of verification and validation (V&V) activities to achieve certification and acceptance
Previous experience of Model Based Systems Engineering in a relevant industry such as aerospace or defence.
Either hold current SC or be eligible to gain security clearance (5yrs UK residence).
