Job description
Support in collaborating with finance teams within the Finance Centre of Excellence (FCOE) to drive high quality change delivery through project delivery support and co-ordination, and timely monitoring of system issues and delivery of change requests. Support coordination with other Finance functions as well as Global Process Owners (GPOs) on small – medium sized projects leading and driving accountability for delivery.

You will perform various coordinating tasks, like schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and handling queries.
Supporting the Head of GPMS (Global Process Management and Change Support) on change management governance including reporting on outstanding change requests and defects, attending delivery and design meetings.
Liaising with Finance GPOs, Change Management, Subject Matter Experts, and colleagues within Finance.
Support to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives for internal finance projects requiring system support and guidance of which examples include but are not limited to; Financial Year Readiness; Merger and Acquisition Workstreams; Finance Change Requests, Process Alignment etc.
Lead and deliver small to medium sized projects independently, supporting as a PMO lead on larger projects as appropriate.
Ensuring that Finance requirements are met as the project and or change request evolves.
Validate testing with the Change Management team on any new projects that will affect finance transactions.
Ensure activities are completed on time according to release calendar and tickets completed within agreed SLAs.
Assist in change prioritization and backlog reviews, engaging with the business to develop a pipeline of activity; and coordination with Finance PMO on priorities.
Assist on release management calls ensuring prioritization appropriately assigned for Finance requests.
Be proactive and innovative with ideas to improve service based on current performance and risk understanding.
What it takes:
Professional degree with a focus in accounting, business, economics; Accounting qualifications will be an added advantage (CA, CPA, ACCA) – minimum of 5 years’ experience OR Non-qualified accountants with relevant matching experience – minimum of 8 years’ experience.
Strong understanding of Project Management approach, tools and methodology (Experience of managing Finance Projects preferred)
Direct relevant experience of working in a global business service will be desired.
Strong proficiency in MS office portfolio (specially Excel, PowerPoint & Project)
Good understanding of accounting and finance transactions would be an added benefit.
Strong analytical skills
Strong communication skills; ability to clearly articulate expectations and outcomes with various levels of management, both in Finance and Business
Excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams to deliver results on deadlines.
Flexibility to support different time-zones and geographies.
