The DevOps Engineer will be a member of a team responsible for deploying, supporting, and maintaining ADTRAN Software as a Service (SaaS) products.
This including but is not limited to the following: utilizing and modifying infrastructure as code, troubleshooting application issues in the deployed infrastructure, and customer escalations. Requires ability to perform Engineering tasks for a major project or for projects of moderate complexity with limited direction.
Duties And Responsibilities - Release incremental updates to SaaS products and automation tools.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals to maintain deployed SaaS products.
- Update and monitor our observability tools in to maintain and improve the quality of our SaaS products.
- Create more stable operating environments by continuously improving the infrastructure in terms of availability, scalability, and performance.
- Analyze current technology and processes used internally and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them.
- Produce and maintain documentation on installations, procedures, and requirements for systems.
- Organize and coordinate development activities within schedule and product constraints.
- Engage in customer escalations related to the operation of the SaaS products.
- Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.
Qualifications - Bachelor' s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education optional.
- Linux, Docker, AWS, Software Version Control (git), IP networking
- 2-5 years' experience in a DevOps, Operations, or Systems position.
- No travel is expected in this position
- Experience in Infrastructure as code (Terraform, similar), Configuration management (Puppet, or similar), CI/CD Toolchain (Jenkins) will be preferred
