Job description

Overview: A store manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a store, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively and controlling inventory to ensure sufficient stock, daily and weekly counts, rotated and changed by season, shop specials or sales
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision and Leadership:
• Provide direction, guidance, and supervision to store staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among store personnel.
2. Inventory Management Through ERP:
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of inventory items.
• Ensure accurate counting, labelling, and tracking of inventory.
• Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize shrinkage and stockouts.
3. Safety and Compliance:
• Enforce safety regulations and compliance standards within the store or warehouse.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and hazards.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and transfers.
• Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and operational metrics.
• Provide regular updates to management on store performance and key issues.
5. Training and Development:
• Train new store personnel on store policies, procedures, and systems.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is often preferred.
2. Strong understanding of warehouse layout and organization, including storage systems, picking methods, and material handling equipment.
3. Proficient in using inventory management software, warehouse management systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a team of store personnel.
5. Languages: English, Hindi, Kannada (any other language can be advantageous.)
