Job Overview

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth in the assigned region by developing and implementing effective sales strategies. They will be responsible for managing a team of sales representatives and meeting sales targets. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in sales, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving sales growth
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in sales, preferably in the pet food or related industry
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a sales team
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of pet food industry, pet products, and market trends
  • Ability to analyze market data and make data-driven decisions
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM software
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets in the assigned region
  • Manage a team of sales representatives and provide guidance and support to achieve individual and team objectives
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential customers to expand market presence
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify market opportunities and risks
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts to track performance and make informed decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, production, and logistics to ensure seamless execution of sales activities
  • Stay updated with industry developments, product knowledge, and market trends to provide accurate information and recommendations to customers
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to the sales team
