Job description
Job Description Accounts Payable Management: Process incoming invoices and reconcile vendor statements Classify credit card transactions and reconcile credit card statements Process expense reimbursement activity including entry to accounting software Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records Treasury Activity: Classify daily bank transactions, reconcile zero balance bank accounts, ensure accurate recording of transactions Optimize processes related to zero balance accounts to enhance efficiency and reduce financial risk Collaborate with Finance Manager to address any issues related to zero balance accounts Financial Reporting: Prepare weekly AP aging report Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and local regulations Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, identify and investigate discrepancies Collaborate with Finance Manager during audits to provide necessary documentation and explanations Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation for AP and the general ledger function Follow best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy Resolve issues related to transactions recorded on the company credit card Collaborate with Finance Manager to provide insights and support decision-making Qualifications : Associates degree in business, finance or accounting Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in accounting Experience in zero balance bank accounts is a plus Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software and Microsoft Excel Detail-oriented, effective communication and interpersonal skills Position to grow into processing semi-monthly payroll, applying AR cash, sending AR statements
