Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional growth and development.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high-performance within the engineering department.
- Set clear expectations, objectives, and performance goals for your team members, conducting regular performance reviews and providing constructive feedback.
- Encourage and promote a positive work environment, valuing diversity and inclusion.

2. Project Planning and Execution:
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of various engineering projects, ensuring they are completed within agreed timelines and budgets, and meeting quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, design, manufacturing, etc) to align project requirements and deliverables.
- Continuously monitor project progress, identify and address any issues or bottlenecks, and adjust plans as needed to meet project objectives.
- Uphold a commitment to operational excellence, following industry best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

3. Technical Expertise:
- Maintain a deep understanding of engineering principles and industry trends, and leverage this knowledge to guide and support the engineering team.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance during the development and execution of engineering projects, ensuring optimal solutions are identified and implemented.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, while promoting continuous improvement and innovation.

4. Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, customers, and vendors, to understand their needs and expectations.
- Effectively communicate project updates, technical concepts, and potential risks to stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding among all parties involved.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their requirements and incorporating feedback to drive project success.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering).
- Proven experience (X+ years) in a leadership or management role within the engineering field.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing the full project life cycle, from planning to execution.
- Strong technical background and experience in engineering principles, practices, and methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
