Job description

Position Description: 'Soft Skills Trainer - L&D'

Location : Bangalore, India

Reportees : Trainee Batches

Reporting To : Assistant Manager-L&D

Job Role : Deliver soft skills training (Written and Verbal communications, email etiquette, telephone etiquette, US culture, Personality development, MS Office, MS Excel, etc.) to all new and existing recruits of the Organization. Thus, make them better suitable to perform their day-to-day functions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct extensive training on English grammar, writing, and comprehension.
  • Conduct essential training for the new recruits (email etiquette, telephone etiquette, behavioral skills, on-floor etiquette, dress code, etc.)
  • Engage the new recruits on ice breaker/team building activities (2 hours per day), to instill in them essential skills required for the job and to keep them glued to the Organization
  • Identify the training needs for the first line managers, liaising with the BU leaders and accordingly design leadership training programs
  • Identify trainees with special requirements and create individualized development plans
  • Publish leadership training calendar for each month, after discussions with the BU and L&D leaders
  • Deliver mass training programs, largely in the space of behavioral training, communication, time management, problem solving, planning and prioritization – for employees spread across multiple geographies
  • Employ innovative and scalable capability building methods that go beyond the classroom, including self-directed learning, technology-based learning, learning on the job, mobile learning, etc.
  • Develop exercises and activities that engage the learner and use supporting materials/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.) that enhance the learning process
  • Be responsible to manage the discipline and policy adherence among all the trainee batches
  • Ensure training reports related to soft skills and leadership trainings are published out to the 'Manager-L&D', as required
  • Be willing to travel across different geographies, to support HC scaling up efforts in the BU
  • Support Process Trainers and operations SMEs, to fine tune the SOP language

Required Technical Skills:

  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (esp. MS Excel) suite of products skills
  • Excellent communication and articulation skills
  • Excellent people management and stake holder management

Qualification and Experience:

  • Should be a graduate in any domain (any Learning and development related course or certification will be a plus)
  • Over all 3 to 6 Years of work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 2+ years of soft skills/ leadership training delivery experience
  • Excellent Classroom Management and Facilitation Skills
