Quality Manager - Your next position In this role, you will be based in Roha and directly report to Head of Operations.

General Duties - Head of Quality Department (Quality Assurance & Quality Control) of the site and process owner of quality management system of the site
- To manage day to day activities of Quality Assurance departmental operations such as pest control activities, food safety and processing control activities, water quality control activities, managing customer complaints and raw material complaints of the site
- To manage day to day activities of Quality Control departmental operations such as Raw Material release and Finished Product release, in process quality analysis
- To manage the site's FSSAI manufacturing and import license as the authorized signatory. To manage the APEDA license of the site. To confirm the compliance of the products, packing and labeling as per FSSAI regulations. To file the annual returns and 6 monthly FSSAI analysis reports.
Main Activities - To ensure that the necessary processes such as food safety/contamination control on food products, pest control, water quality control, raw material complaints, customer complaints, training on food safety and quality are well established at the site.
- To be the food safety team leader of the site, Food Defence TACCP team leader and lead the food safety team training them with updated essential knowledge on foods safety and conducting reviews of food safety, food defense and HACCP system with the team
- To develop and implement the HACCP system of the site taking inputs from all the food safety team members. To review the HACCP system and update it whenever necessary.
- To report to management about food safety and any need for improvement in the methods, materials, equipment, work environment, taking into consideration food safety requirements, quality requirements, customer requirements and regulatory-FSSAI requirements
- To implement, maintain, optimize and continuously improve the food safety and quality management system of the site through regular internal audits, Monthly Food Safety audits, pest audits, glass audits, review of the system including monthly quality reviews and management reviews
- To report the quality related reports for the attention of senior management during monthly reviews and management review meetings which aids the senior management to determine the strategic direction of the company with respect quality
- To maintain the site as per the requirements of the certification systems such as FSSC 22000 and Halal and to coordinate and conduct certification audits as required by the system
- To coordinate and conduct customer audits, quality certification audits, and regulatory-FSSAI audits and to implement necessary corrective actions for the non-conformities identified during audit along with the team at the site
- To handle customer complaints of the site by investigating the root cause for the problem and implementing necessary corrective actions in order to reduce the customer complaints
- To handle raw material complaints of the site by reporting the complaint, investigating the Raw Material with the vendors and confirming the rejection of Raw Material
- To investigate and implement corrective actions when quality of the product produced at the site fails
- To ensure that complete traceability and recall system is in place for the products produced at the site as per the requirements of the FSSC 22000 and FSSAI
- To follow up Key Performance Indicators of the site such as food contamination, pathogen control, pest control, product failure, Raw Material failure, quality audits, quality improvements of products and system and review them with the team monthly
- To carry out Raw Material and Finished Product analysis at in-house lab and release them as per specifications defined.
- To update Method of Analysis regularly as per requirement of ISO references, FSSAI and customers
- To review and approve the customer specifications of the finished products, adjust the quality parameters of the products accordingly
- To manage the site's FSSAI manufacturing and import license as the FSSAI authorized signatory.
- To manage the APEDA license of the site.
- To confirm the compliance of the products, packing and labeling as per FSSAI regulations. To file the annual returns and 6 monthly FSSAI analysis reports.

Your professional profile includes: - Minimum 10-15 years of experience in the Food Quality/Safety field.
- Hands-on experience in Food Safety processes and procedures.
- Desirable industry experience in food-related sectors (direct competitors or FMCG).
- Strong leadership experience, managing a team of approximately 5 subordinates.
- Educational background with a postgraduate degree in food technology, a Masters in Management, or equivalent.
- Additional certification in LEAN Six Sigma is advantageous.
- Qualities of a team player and a strong sense of maturity.
- Openness to work in Roha.
