Job description
Key Responsibilities
• Continuously build and apply knowledge in network planning approaches, tools and methodologies, and knowledge of Telstra technology platforms
• Use knowledge in network planning, to contribute to the development of infrastructure plans, technology roadmaps and deployment guidelines that ultimately ensure network assets are deployed in a timely and effective way, and that all designs comply with customer, technical, regulatory, and financial requirements.
• Support the development of technology roadmaps and plans, to provide the full range of required infrastructure to deliver end-to-end services in a timely manner, and ensure all designs comply with the design rules, technical specifications, regulatory and financial requirements
• Contribute to the identification of triggers and development of deployment guidelines for a variety of technology platforms, ensuring network assets are deployed in the most cost-effective and efficient method, in line with the technology roadmap
• Analyse network demand and capacity to generate insights in support of network capital investment recommendations, in order to meet defined growth and planning objectives, corporate budgeting constraints, and technology/infrastructure characteristics
• Seek input from more experienced team members, gather data, use domain knowledge and analytical thinking to support the evaluation of Network performance, and identify solutions to resolve specific issues or risks in line with quality standards
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and the development of network planning practice standards, by contributing to process and/or methodology improvements in order to enhance the productivity and quality of network delivery
• Apply sound inter-personal and communication skills to communicate with team members and relevant internal stakeholders, to deliver on agreed project outcomes
