Job description
B.E. /B Tech /M.E. /M Tech in Mechanical/ Production/ Manufacturing Engineering with minimum 10 years of relevant experience
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall safety compliance of the lab by creating and implementing safety processes and procedures in collaboration with the Site Operation and EHS team.
- Responsible for addressing safety issues/ escalations by identifying root cause and implementing appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Responsible for maintaining the tool availability by resolving tool issues in collaboration with Lab support engineers, Facilities and Product Groups
- Responsible for hiring, assimilation, development and performance management of Lab technicians and Lab support engineers.
- Manage Calibration services, periodic maintenance and repair to maintain the lab equipment.
- Responsible for maintenance of the existing testing equipment, upgrading existing test capability and installation and commission of new equipment.
- Establish business processes and procedures needed for effective and efficient operations of the lab.
- Forecast Capital and operational expenses and managing the overall budget to manage lab operations efficiently.
- Responsible for overall inventory management to ensure on-time availability of parts and services.
- Define, track and report out Key Performance Indicators to ensure overall utilization of Lab infrastructure.
- Drive continuous improvement programs to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Lab operations.
Mandatory Skills
- Working experience in product design and development, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment industry
- Strong experience in hardware engineering design validation, testing and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in Engineering Lab Operations Management, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment industry
- Minimum 3 years of experience in people management (Performance management, mentoring and coaching)
- Excellent communication, collaboration skills and experience working with multiple global stake holders.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in handling of chemicals (usage of c hemicals and their interactions, danger signs, and disposal methods )
- Experience/ certification in program management
