Verification Architect : BASC Bangalore The Connectivity group's role within the GTT Vehicle Engineering is to secure the telematics solutions are deployed on all truck brands in a quality assured way. This group will play a vital role for the GTT to effectively utilize the potential of Telematics linked solutions like Uptime Services, Fleet Management, Vehicle Tracking, Navigation etc.,.
THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES The Connectivity team in Bangalore is an integral part of Global Connectivity organization which shall secure connected vehicles supporting the increasing demand for soft products. Connectivity is a key enabler for fleet management, uptime services and advanced vehicle services such as driver assistance, truck specific navigation and fuel reduction, targeting reduced costs as well as increased revenues. Connectivity develops software for telematics systems for several Volvo companies.
At Test Automation & Verification Framework, our mission is to establish an integration and verification environment that enables continuous integration, thus reducing lead time-to-market and increasing product quality. The objective of this assignment is to implement and maintain ECU simulations. The engineer will join our global agile team to contribute with competence in CANoe simulation and Python based test automation. The main activities are to use CANoe as vehicle simulator and interface to our test framework.
The position holder will report to Group Manager, Test Automation and Verification Framework, Connectivity.
Role Description - Develop the tools to maintain hardware infrastructure, system Administration & Monitoring and facilitates continuous integration & testing. Drive innovative solutions to automation challenges.
- Working close with HIL rigs and manage Build servers, CI/CD pipelines and build chains.
- Design a solution to maintain & utilize our rigs (V3, V4) as optimal as possible.
- Creating guidelines and giving strategic recommendation to our agile trains
- Provisioning, virtualization, and the use of our systems in an optimal way
- A Result oriented, willing to share your knowledge and at the same time be receptive.

WHO ARE YOU - Overall, 6-10 years of experience which includes, working as architect in Software development for 3-6 years and working as a professional systems administration (sysadmin) and/or DevOps experience for 5-7 years and YOCTO build framework preferred.
- Have a good hands-on experience with PYTHON and AUTOMATION Framework- Pytest is preferred.
- Have a deep understanding of the fundamentals of the operating system of pc and server computers, both with Windows and with Linux. Preferred to have hands on knowledge on Embedded LINUX
- Experience in Server monitoring with tools such as Prometheus, Nagios, Datadog or similar.
- You are comfortable using deployment tools, Ansible or similar ones like Chef, Puppet
- Have written scripts in PowerShell and Bash.
- Experience with networking and firewall.
- In-depth understanding of docker-images and docker-containers and how they relate, Comfortable with using Jenkins.
- Very good knowledge of the vector tool suite or other CAN-simulation hardware and software, J1939,CAN,Ethernet and UDS protocols, SOME/IP
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Systematic, analytic, pro-active, and open minded with interest in software debugging.
- BE/ M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical Engineering
- Experienced at working in a global organization with cross functional interaction.
