IFS is looking for a Validation Architect. The opportunity will be part of the Customer Solutions Engineering (CSE) group which is responsible for the portions of the system foundry that brings the best of Intel technologies to IFS customers, differentiating and accelerating their solutions from architecture to post-silicon validation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to: Validation Strategy: Develop and define the overall validation strategy for the SoC, considering functional, power, performance and reliability aspects. Validation scope: Hands on experience in Pre-Silicon, Post-Silicon, Emulation, Simulation and SIMICS virtual platform Tech readiness: Identify validation specific roadblock proactively during initial planning stage and come up with solutions Test Planning: Collaborate with design teams to understand the SoC architecture and create comprehensive test plans that cover various scenarios and use cases Testbench and Test content Development: Design and implement verification testbenches to validate the functionality of the SoC. This involves creating complex test scenarios and environments. Test Automation: Develop automated test scripts and tools to streamline the validation process, improve efficiency, and increase test coverage. Test tools strategy: Define synthetic, random and directed test tools to be used for effective validation Debugging: Work closely with design and Firmware teams to debug issues identified during validation, including root cause analysis and resolution. Reference platform: Collaborate with board design engineers to provide debug and validation requirements needed in reference validation platform Power On Czar: Lead SOC bringup and drive task force needed to drive any issues to closure Performance Validation: Ensure that the SoC meets performance requirements by conducting thorough performance testing and optimization. Compliance Testing: Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure the SoC adheres to industry standards and specifications. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of validation plans, test cases, and results. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, software, and verification teams, to ensure a holistic approach to SoC validation
Qualifications
Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field. 8+ years of experience in SoC validation team in a lead or architect role. Proficiency in C programming Proficiency in hardware description languages (e.g., Verilog, SystemVerilog). Experience with verification methodologies (e.g., UVM) and simulation tools. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) for test automation. Familiarity with industry standards and specifications related to SoC design and validation. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
