This role will work on a range of software products critical to Carrier's continued business growth. Enjoys collaborating with design, product, etc.- Passionate about cloud native technologies.- Does not believe in reinventing the wheel, instead leveraging the best components that are readily available.Primary Responsibilities :- Lead team of Observability Engineers to design and implement and maintain scalable, reliable, performant, and efficient systems.- Drive continuous improvements in our operating processes.- Nurture engineer growth through mentorship- Create site reliability best-practices to ensure platform resiliency, performance and cost-optimization.- Partner with product managers to define Service Level Agreements- Define Service Level Indicator and Objectives- Partner with leadership to define strategic roadmaps.Required Experience :- At least 10 years of professional experience in systems engineering- At least 6 years of experience programming in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or Python- At least 8 years of experience delivering application performance monitoring visualizations with 2 of the following: Grafana, DataDog, New Relic, Splunk, HoneyComb or DynaTrace- At least 8 years of experience designing and building application performance monitoring solutions.- At least 6 years of experience instrumenting application for telemetry data.- At least 4 years of experience delivering cloud native software.- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience- Multiple Observability Platforms- Hands on experience with Opentelemetry.- JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js and React experience. Additional Skills :- Deep domain expertise delivering cloud native solutions.Deep expertise in :- Observability best practices- Application Performance Monitoring- Microservice Architectures- Observability as Code- Deep understanding of SRE concepts, such as Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives- DevOps- AWS Management, Security, Scalability, Reliability, Cost OptimizationHigh level expertise in :1.
