What youll do:
Demonstrate state-of-art expertise in a broad range of Data Science/Machine Learning/AI models and apply this to the design, development, execution, and improvement of tools to solve business problems.
Act as technical team lead to oversee projects and mentor junior data scientists on the team.
Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Communicate with Technology partners on how to implement the models as needed.
Communicate with leadership on findings, questions and recommendations.
Keep up with the latest techniques in the fields of Data Science/Machine Learning/AI and have a POV on how the COE could leverage the advancement in the areas.
Model compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.
What youll bring: This position is for a person who has strong education background and working experience in Data Science, Machine Learning and AI.
Masters degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics or other technical field. PhD preferred.
5-10 years of working experience in Data Science/Machine Learning/AI areas. Expert level in utilizing data science platforms such as Pytorch or TensorFlow.
Expert experience in database technologies and distributed datastores (e.g. SQL, NoSQL).
Expert development experience in Python.
Expert level understanding of data science models in regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, recommender systems, NLP, computer vision and others, including basic ML models and deep learning models.
Knowledge of graph model and graph query languages.
Good understanding of Large Language Models.
Knowledge on Gen AI development tools and systems, such as Hugging Face, Pinecone, LangChain, Semantic Kernal, etc.
Knowledge on retailing and talent life cycle.
Rich experience leading big scale data science projects.
