Job Description

Our Software Security Engineer builds and maintains specific tooling and integrations that test the security of our platforms and applications. Using knowledge of Python, C#, API connections, SQL and Windows Internals, this role writes code to break code, and enables data visibility and automation for security - supporting our penetration testers, incident responders and risk monitors.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop custom tools and scripts in C# and python to probe, assess, and exploit Windows internals for security testing purposes. 
• Build, extend and maintain an implementation of MITRE Caldera for security testing automation
• Collaborate with the Adversaries Team to design, develop and test methods to execute sophisticated attacks on systems and applications
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in Infrastructure and Application security, vulnerabilities, and exploitation techniques. 
• Conduct research and development to discover new methods of automating attack vectors and techniques. 
• Continuously improve and update existing tools and techniques to keep pace with evolving security challenges.

We are looking for people who want to make a difference in Security.

• Experience:
  • Proven experience in C# and Python, including related frameworks
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design, development and practices
  • Understanding of MS Windows Operating System architecture, kernel mode programming and system level APIs
  • Strong desire to learn new skills and figure out how things work
  • Awareness of Mitre Caldera, Mimikatz, C2 Frameworks such as Covenant and Cobalt Strike
  • Using version control such as Git, and collaborative development workflows

• Preferred:
  • Previous experience in cybersecurity tooling, integrations and scripting
  • Familiarity with GoLang and C++ for broader tool development
  • Effective communications and the ability to convey technical concepts to non technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity of common security vulnerabilities in web applications (e.g. OWASP) and exploitation techniques on Windows environments
  • Knowledge of MSSQL, MySQL, Redis, PostgreSQL
  • Certifications in software development
  • Previous experience working with cybersecurity penetration testing
  • Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger and OpenAPI
  • Active contributions to the security community via open-source projects, bug bounty participation etc.
