Job description

Deputy manager- Product development

Context & Role:
• End-to-end management of the product development and product launch activities, along with product
management activities.
• On an ongoing basis, needs to track & publish competition information, highlight new product launches
across competition and present comparison with PMLI products.
• To continuously manage cross-functional coordination for new product development processes and
assist in driving the approvals and governance processes for launch as per the agreed product
calendar.
• The person is expected to engage with cross-functional teams on an ongoing basis, and will be
required to coordinate with our bank, agency, training & marketing teams. Ensure that all operations
and activities undertaken comply with compliance & regulatory requirements and Company's direction.

Key Responsibilities:
Impact on the Business / Function
• Regular content and documentation creation like sales literature, policy documents, other customer
facing documents, presentations, collaterals, product pitches etc.
• Assist the launch process for assigned projects to deliver in line with business requirements within the
approved launch calendar.
• Regular UAT testing during the launch activities as well as during other project requirements.
• Assist the Reporting Hierarchy in developing the product strategy to help achieve the business and
organizational targets.
• Aid in the launch of new products and propositions as approved by PMC to target relevant customer
segments within the distributor and partner customer bases, for the product areas assigned to the role.
• Monitor and initiate product revisions to products in the context of industry, competition, regulations,
and channel requirements.
• Work closely with Sales teams to compile market feedback on product requirements & product
strategies with marketing campaigns.
• Maintain and observe PNB MetLife's Internal control standards, implement and observe compliance
policies, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors
and external regulators.
Desired Qualifications:
• Qualification: MBA or Post Graduate
• Experience in life insurance product development/ actuarial/ marketing / content – Min 3 years
• Fresher from a reputed college with exposure to insurance/actuarial sciences
Knowledge and Skills required:
• Knowledge of Life Insurance process
• Working knowledge of IRDAI regulations relevant to Products
• Knowledge of other compliance requirements linked to Products & processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and Persuasion and negotiation skills
• Good analytical skills
• Well skilled with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point
