We are looking for Quality Lead for Chennai Location.

JOB TITLE: TEAM LEADER - RM EXP

- Min 12 Years REPORTING TO: TL – Quality, RM & LAB DIVISION : Glass DEPARTMENT/FUNCTION: Quality

JOB PURPOSE

To effectively manage the over all quality functional activities covering customer interactions, qualification of materials / products , establishing systems for long run benefits and measuring , monitoring and continual improvements of all the activities . The role is having a significant contribution to the organizational goal towards customer satisfaction and ensuring that customer requirements are effectively built in the process. To ensures both internal (raw materials, line quality, dispatch quality) and external quality. It seeks to fulfil the following and thus contributes to the overall mission/objective of the plant Implementation of WCM activities in the plant. RM stability Implementation of IMS

CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Effective Management of Overall

Quality

Functional Activities. To ensure that Raw material, process, and finished products are checked and accepted in line with the laid down norms and customer requirements are effectively built into the process. Management of Claims Spearheading the organization towards implementing

ISO- 9001:2000, ISO- 14001:2004 , OHSAS 18001 and continual improvement of the same. Spearheading the organization towards implementing SQC / SPC techniques, best practices,

SIX Sigma

initiatives, etc. Training and up gradation of skills of the relevant functional personnel.

KEY DECISIONS/DIMENSIONS

Interaction with customers and take appropriate decisions Take appropriate decisions on Non- conforming products/ situations . Investigations and settlement of claims. QEHS Implementation activities.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : Engineering Graduate preferably Ceramic/ Chemical / Mechanical or M.Sc. Chemistry with Post Graduation in Management /Operations.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE : About 15 to 18 years of experience in Quality and process control, preferably in continuous process industry or similar process plants, out of which at least 6-8 years experience at Senior management Level / Profit Centre Head responsibility.
