Job description
Gravity AI is looking for a Software Engineer (MERN) to join the team. Responsibilities include development and integration for a variety of software application supporting our business lines. Job requires working within a diverse team of skilled and motivated co-workers to collaborate on results. Other qualities for this candidate are a positive attitude, self-motivated, the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Good communication skills are needed both verbally and written, to interact with peers and customers.
Location:
This is a work-from-office job type. This position would be working with the team located at KCT Tech Park, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Responsibilities:
· Develop enterprise level responsive web and mobile applications and developing back-end services
· Write production grade reusable components, debug and optimize existing codebase.
· Understand the big picture and the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans and anticipate future events.
· Designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications and systems.
· Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software requirements.
· Developing software solutions that meet customer needs and requirements.
· Documenting software design and architecture.
· Continuously improving software engineering practices and processes.
· Analyzing and troubleshooting software issues in a timely manner.
· Maintaining and upgrading existing software systems.
· Conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
· Staying up-to-date with new and emerging software technologies.
· Participating in the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Qualifications:
· Experience with Web fundamentals like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
· Hands-on experience in developing responsive web application using React/Vue/Angular JS
· Hands-on experience in Non-Relational Databases like MongoDB or similar
· Experience in developing and testing and hosting RestFul web services using ExpressJS or similar
· Experience on CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations
· Know-how of asynchronous and synchronous API
· Understanding of API gateways
· Experience with various authentication and authorization mechanisms
· Familiarity with SAML, OAUTH2 and SSO login
· Hands-on with prototyping tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
· Experience in GitLab/GitHub, Jira, CI/CD and also tools like npm
· Working knowledge on Azure/AWS/GCP from a developer's perspective
· Familiarity with React Native is preferred
