About the Role
This role will report to the Business Execution Director for Banking, Lending & Trust and will dotted-line report into the Head of Banking & Credit Solutions. The successful candidate will have the following primary responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic partner to the Banking & Credit Solutions LOB within BL&T/WIM providing expertise on capabilities aligned to this group.
- Serve as a single point of contact for the Wealth Underwriting teams in India handling issues and escalations directly with business partners.
- Build expertise in the local recruiting market, networking with other financial services firms and lines of business within the firm to ensure a robust pipeline of top underwriting talent is identified and kept warm.
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Wealth Underwriting
- Lead tactical planning functions related to new transitions, changes to existing transitions and process improvement, contribute to the evolution of a multi-year transformation roadmap.
- Display leadership/partnership skills with a strong working knowledge of the businesses in Wealth Underwriting and within Banking & Credit Solution.
- Provide leadership to all aligned teams to improve processes, implement controls, manage resources.
- Ensure operational policies and procedures comply with regulatory compliance for all aligned capabilities.
- Develop and execute processes and tools to hold individuals and teams accountable for progress.
- Ensure all compliance and regulatory requirements are implemented, and SLAs to all partners and stakeholders are met.
- Participate in the review of end-to-end Wealth Underwriting business processes to determine where we can simplify and create more efficiencies.
- Develop and leverage data-based insights to manage teams and drive continuous improvement.

- Contribute to the development and evolution of a multi-year global delivery strategic roadmap.
- Develop and leverage data-based insights and analytics to deliver results and drive continuous improvement
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Wealth Underwriting
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Wealth Underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Expertise in Wealth Management Underwriting
- Solid risk management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage through middle managers
- Demonstrates a high degree of reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness in all areas
- A seasoned, relationship-driven executive who will have the style and sensitivity to work within a highly complex business environment. Multi-cultural sensitivity a must.
- Exhibits excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- Flexible to overlap with US hours based on meetings
