At Inc42, we are in search of a passionate Events Lead for our Founders' Office to spearhead our industry-leading events function and align our events with strategic goals — revenue, branding, and thought leadership. You will drive Inc42's event strategy, lead end-to-end planning and cross-functional execution, while crafting unforgettable experiences that will bring the startup ecosystem together.

This role is tailored for someone who breathes life into events, transforming them into immersive experiences that embody our brand's ethos. You'll not just be hosting events; you'll be scripting the narrative of India's startup ecosystem.

What You'll Do

• Event Strategy Development: Craft and execute a detailed event strategy, conceptualise strategic events, ensuring alignment with Inc42's broader goals for brand, revenue, and thought leadership.
• Strategic Planning & Content Development: Lead the identification of engaging themes and create compelling narratives for our major events. Craft concept notes, generate promotional content, and construct the event's framework including themes, topics, and discussion points based on industry research and interactions.
• Project Management: Take ownership of end-to-end project management for our diverse event portfolio, including branded events, editorial initiatives, and retreats.
• Cross-Functional Team Alignment: Serve as the pivotal point for cross-functional team coordination, bringing together marketing, editorial, sales, and other departments for a unified event execution.
• Operational Excellence: Dive deep into the operational aspects — from venue selection and vendor management to production and logistics — ensuring each event is executed flawlessly.
• Budget and Risk Management: Oversee budgeting and financial management for each event, implementing cost optimizations and risk management strategies.
• Performance Analysis: Post-event, analyse data to measure performance, ROI, and identify areas for improvement.

Who We Are Looking For

• Experienced Professional: You bring 3-5 years of experience in event management and partnerships, with a strong track record of operational success.
• Entrepreneurial Spirit: Passion for creating memorable event experiences and knack for operational excellence.
• Operational Wizard: You're not just about the big picture; you revel in the nitty-gritty of event execution. You have an impeccable eye for venues and logistics, and your budget management skills are second to none.
• Team Orchestrator: You have a knack for aligning multiple stakeholders and teams, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
• Negotiation Expert: Your negotiation skills have been proven in securing beneficial partnerships and vendor contracts.
• Budget Maestro: You're adept at managing budgets, optimising costs without compromising on quality.
• Problem Solver: You're proactive, can anticipate potential issues, and are always ready with a solution.
• Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is your foundational strength.
