The Position
Role Purpose As an Engineering Manager in Diagnostics Insights Software under the Roche Information Solutions organization you will lead a team of Scrum Masters and Release Train Engineers, promoting best engineering practices, providing technical guidance and supporting the delivery organization producing high quality results. You will help to coach and motivate the team and manage the relations with the delivery organization establishing a strong collaboration.
You will provide effective leadership for the team in a manner that is consistent with the Roche values and leadership commitments. You will seek to inspire and lead your team to create transformative solutions ensuring that Information Solutions products are recognized as being the best in the Diagnostics industry and maintain our #1 ranking in the future.
Your Responsibilities Capability and Team Management:
- Providing leadership and contribute to the long term vision for the organization, planning for organizational growth
- Proactive capability management, identifying future needs and planning and managing capability building activities
- Participation in committees, workshops and meetings representing the department and its disciplines.
Software Delivery - Responsible for supporting the products within the Diagnostics Insights Software organization with the best Scrum Masters and Release Train Engineers
- Partnering with Program Manager, Product Managers and other engineering managers to ensure proper staffing of delivery teams, providing high quality results
- Constantly improving, optimizing and harmonizing working structure, engineering processes, best practices and team objectives, driving effectiveness and efficiency in the pursuit of high quality RIS products
- Participating in SW Engineering improvement initiatives
- Sharing, coaching and training about SW Engineering within and outside the department.

Who You Are We are looking for a motivated and committed person able to inspire our team oriented towards the values of passion, integrity and courage!
Moreover You Bring - BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer or equivalent in a related field with 10+ years of software industry experience (8+ years with an MS degree).
- Hands-on experience in leading roles in the development of a standalone software product
- Experience working in agile methodologies, specially Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Solid experience in people management for a team of engineers working on different projects in an international setup
- Proven experience in operating as a member and leader in an agile scaled agile framework
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex situations or problems including options and implications, to support informed decision taking
- Good interpersonal skills, with proven ability to navigate sophisticated corporate environments and influence stakeholders and partners
- Experience with healthcare workflows and systems, standards and protocols, customer environment / processes / protocols, compliance requirements and regulations (e.g. FDA) is a strong plus
