About The Role & Team
Urban Company's India business is divided into three large verticals with several core categories within these verticals. Each category is overseen by a diligent business head and maintains its own user offerings and supply pool.
- Beauty vertical
- Salon for women: Skin-care services
- Salon for women: Hair, nails and make-up
- Men's grooming o Spa therapy for men and women
- Treatments
- Home vertical
- AC and appliance repair
- Cleaning and Pest control
- Electricians, Plumbers, and Carpenters
- Painting
- Products business (Largely B2B sales)
- Beauty & spa products: Both OEM and private labels
- Water purifiers, RO filters, etc.
- Home Solutions store
- Cleaning products
What You'll Do - End-to-end ownership of select service categories.
- Solve for structural problems at a central level to speed up the growth of the category
- Enable on-boarding of great service professionals in the category
- Institutionalize service delivery norms and set centralized processes for the category
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal partners in marketing, technology and product to execute multiple category and central level projects
- Work with the marketing team to generate customer requests and improve demand
What We'll Need - 1-2 years of work experience
- Bachelors mandatory
- Eager, committed to excellence and have a consistent track record of strong performance
- Ability to work in an environment that is dynamic, requires solving ambiguous problems and is highly focused on achieving desired outcomes.
- Proactive and results-oriented attitude
- Have an ear to the ground, get your hands dirty, and solve real problems.
