Senior Property Accountant

Location: Gandhinagar, India

Shift: WFO, 5:30 PM to 3:30 AM / 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date financial statements, including variance analysis and posting entries.

Monitor cash flow, control expenses, and strive to achieve budgeted NOI.

Coordinate with mortgage companies regarding payments, escrows, and reserve accounts.

Prepare year-end work paper packages for audits and tax returns.

Process accounts payable/receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Evaluate and enhance internal accounting processes to align with organizational goals.

Maintain relationships with financial institutions and assist in month-end closing.

Complete Form 1099 tax filings accurately and in a timely manner.

Assist property managers in the annual budget process and quarterly forecasts.

Familiarize yourself with partnership agreements, property management agreements, and loan documents.

Facilitate wire transfers and check requests as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.

CA qualification or in the process of completion.

Minimum 5 years of experience in US accounting and team management.

Proficiency in Yardi software is a must.

Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.

Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
