Role And Responsibilities As a SAP BASIS consultant, you will be responsible for the administration, management, and support of SAP systems. Your key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in SAP license management, governance, and audit reporting.
- Planning and executing the installation and upgrade of SAP software.
- Installing kernel patches, fixes, security notes, and required patches.
- Applying legal HR support packs and monitoring system capacity consumption.
- Creating system capacity forecasts and providing system sizing calculations.
- Investigating performance issues and conducting technical tests of system changes.
- Applying functional and non-functional OSS notes and resolving SAP system-related problems.
- Managing SAP Service Marketplace connection and access administration.
- Proactively monitoring and ensuring compliance with SAP platform security policy.
- Providing business-specific requirements for system settings and configuring logon load balancing.
- Implementing performance improvement plans and diagnosing SAP technical issues.
- Managing end-to-end SLD, LMDB, and SAP Service Marketplace for accuracy and consistency.
- Implementing go-live recommendations and maintaining SAP messages for SLA compliance.
- Configuring system housekeeping jobs and supporting monthly SAP platform audits.
- Managing SAP marketplace administration, OSS incident administration, and transport management.
- Implementing early watch alert recommendations and SAP performance and capacity management.
- Running SAP health checks and managing technical release management.
Candidate Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP BASIS administration.
- Strong knowledge of SAP systems, including installation, upgrade, and maintenance.
- Experience with SAP license management, patching, and system sizing.
- Proficiency in performance tuning, problem determination, and resolution.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
