Position
As a Finance Manager at Asian Heart Institute, you will oversee the financial operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, efficient budgeting, and effective management of accounts. Your role includes strategic financial planning, team leadership, and coordination with various departments to support the Institute's commitment to providing top-tier cardiac care.
Responsibilities - Manage the accounts, budgets, and financial control activities of the organization to meet the information needs of management, government, and statutory bodies.
- Ensure effective accounting procedures are established and followed to meet the financial reporting requirements of the organization.
- Plan, direct, and supervise the activities of assigned personnel.
- Coordinate the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets and submit these to the COO/CEO.
- Ensure that Accounts and other financial data are available on an accurate, concise, and up-to-date basis.
- Monitor the Cash flow.
- Advise HODs on financial policies and the implementation or application of such policies.
- Manage, train, and develop assigned personnel to meet the requirements of the organization.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new accounting systems which are designed to improve the financial reporting of the business.
- Conduct performance evaluations and be responsible for coaching and counseling.
- Participate in discussions of business analysis and strategy planning.
- Liaise with external auditors as required.
- Work out the costing manual for the various procedures to define the tariff to help the top management.
- Cost-cutting exercise – to track various expenditures to help in cost-cutting.
- Team building for accounts and finance. e.g. should create a team, handhold, mentor, and teach to ensure that everyone moves in the same direction to avoid confusion and achieve the desired goal for the organization.
- Coordination among other departments for the smooth running of the organization.
- To handle the forex activities of the organization and ensure all the statutory requirements are met concerning the forex law and EPCG schemes, e.g. FEMA (Foreign Exchange Monetary Act) & Anti-Money Laundering Act.
- Vendor management or creditor’s management; maintain good relations with vendors for timely payment to vendors and reconciliation of vendors’ payments.
- Make policies and procedures to ensure smooth collection from the patients and smooth refunds. Hands-on experience in handling Indirect Taxes (GST) right from Purchase booking to handling of Assessments and GST audits.
- In-depth knowledge of TDS applicability/provisions/payment/filing of Returns
- Professional Tax payment and return filing
- Assist in the preparation of monthly MIS/Budgets
Qualification & Experience
- B.Com/M.Com
- CA / MBA
- 10 to 12 years of experience in Finance and Accounts
- Includes minimum 5 years experience in the service sector in a similar position.
