Job description

Position: CIO – Chief Information Officer /Vice President – Technology and Digital Transformation
Region: Global
Based: Dubai, UAE
Salary: AED 40,000 -50,000
Reporting: M.D and CEO

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for enterprise systems and support; strategy, planning, acquisitions and integration;
compliance, data protection and information security; data strategy and management
• Lead Global Product Development, including the deployment and maintenance of new customer
facing products (online, portal, web, Ecommerce), BI and data management systems
• Design and delivering digital initiatives
• Driving the strategy, delivery and operation of the next generation of digital journey and
platform, modernizing the technology assets and digital transformation objectives of the company to
support the global growth plans
• Interpret the company's business needs, then find and implement cutting-edge IT solutions to fill
them
• Design, develop and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience
• Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize

their strategic benefits
• Work with business leaders to shape the organization’s approach to digital business transformation
and build digital dexterity
• Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff
within the organization
• Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance
• Deliver optimal return on investment, and maintain utmost security
• Set objectives and strategies for the IT department
• Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT
providers
• Direct and organize IT-related projects
• Conduct competitor analysis, Monitor changes, or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage
• Analyze the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions
• Adopting technologies that are in line with a business's growth and objectives
• Adopting new technologies while ensuring they don't introduce risks to the company they represent
• Creating IT policies and maintaining standards
• Managing a team of IT personnel
• Mentoring IT personnel
• Reporting directly to CEO and directors
• Planning business growth objectives with regards to technology
• Working with upper-level IT staff to develop and implement department goals
• Staying abreast of emerging technologies that can improve  imaging solutions, performance and increase company profits
• Creating and implementing IT policies, protocols and standards
• Overseeing contract negotiations with IT vendors, contractors and service providers
• Communicating with other executives regarding costs, value and risk-potential and mitigation of the same of new IT projects
• Develops strategies to improve and monitor the efficiency and efficacy of technological initiatives
• Seeks out hardware and software that will help the company.
• Oversees the development, testing, registering of patents of new programs developed specifically for the company as required
• Seek out vendor partnerships that may be of value to the company
• Review vendor proposals and make decisions based on things such as price, what they offer, and how the vendor product may fit into the organization
• Ensures the company's data remains secure by keeping up to date on the latest cyber security threats and finds ways to guard against them on an organisation-wide scale
• Coaches members of the IT teams, particularly IT leaders, so everyone stays on the same page across the company
• Leads efficient operation of the team so that prompt modernization and upgrades of IS are performed as needed.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
• Digital ideation and delivery - Identify, test and scale the most promising digital business ideas within business budget.
• Manage legacy infrastructure, security and core enterprise.
• Collaborate with members of the executive team to identify ways IT can assist the company in achieving business and financial goals.
• Identify new IS developments and technologies, anticipate resulting organizational modifications.
• Ensures that IT and network infrastructure adequately support the company’s computing, data processing, and communications needs.
• Develop and implement the IT budget.
• Communicate goals, projects, and timelines of the company to the department; plan ways to execute those goals within the department.
• Establish long-term IS needs and plans and develop strategies for developing systems and acquiring/developing software and hardware necessary to meet those needs
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Qualification:
• Masters degree in Business Administration is a plus
• Masters degree in Computer Science, or Information Technology required
• At least 10-15 years of experience in administration of information systems and technology, with increasing level of responsibility throughout
• Work experience in information technology and management
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of both computer technology and management procedures.
• Proven experience as CIO or similar managerial role
• Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
• Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
• Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations
• Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• A strong strategic and business mindset
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills

• Experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
• Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support wireless technology applications, interface and IT security.
