Job description

Health Systems for TB (HS4TB) is a five-year USAID-supported global project led by Management Sciences for Health (MSH) that supports achievement of TB outcomes through health systems strengthening approaches. This project is supported by the USAID (United States Agency for International Development) currently being implemented in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Odisha, and Delhi. HS4TB focuses on improving contract management for outsourcing priority TB services to the private sector. The project deploys three-pronged approach to address the contract management challenges and payment delays in five states: 1) through the establishment of technical support units in each state, called Partnership and Innovation Units (PIUs) the team works closely with the State leadership on improving the efficiency of contract management; 2) developing health financing interventions to address contract payment delays; and 3) pioneering a partnership collaborative in each state that engages the State Government, contracting partners, and other stakeholders. SUMMARY The primary responsibility of this role revolves around the creation and enhancement of process documentation, best practices, compendiums, case studies, and quarterly/annual reports detailing the various activities undertaken within the project. The technical writer plays a crucial role in collating and documenting the work being done, achievements and learnings. This involves engaging with various stakeholders through travel to the implementation states, interviews to gather insights and information, subsequently synthesizing and documenting the findings in comprehensive reports. The specialist is expected to actively contribute to the development of technical deliverables, working in close collaboration with both the nationaland state teams. This entails a hands-on approach to ensure accurate representation of project activities and milestones. The role involves not only the creation of detailed documentation but also a proactive engagement with on-the-ground realities to provide valuable context and depth to the reports. Furthermore, the technical writer will play a key role in maintaining a repository of knowledge resources, ensuring that the documentation remains up-to-date and reflective of the evolving nature of the project. This includes staying abreast of project developments, incorporating feedback from stakeholders, and refining documentation practices to meet the highest standards of clarity and accuracy. Overall, this position requires a dynamic individual who can seamlessly blend fieldwork with meticulous documentation, contributing to the success of the project by providing a comprehensive and well-documented overview of its implementation and outcomes. Post-graduate level degree in a relevant field (writing, communications, social sciences, development studies) from a reputed institute
