Job Title: Team Leader, Investment Research & Analytics

Role

Support the Securities Lending front office teams in all matters relating to the client reporting, Internal MI statistics and NT & Borrower performance analysis. Coordinate with Northern Trust Account Managers / Relationship Managers, Global Equity and Fixed Income Trading Desk and other stakeholders to help evaluate Securities Lending fee/revenue estimates for new prospects, RFP, RFI and existing clients. Assisting the company's bid to expand clientele/business Coordinate with Risk, Compliance, Operations and Short Duration Fixed Income teams in producing various risk related reports for Securities Lending Aptitude in analyzing and interpreting queries/tables in Access/SQL/Power BI to conduct in-depth research Responds to internal and external inquiries and requests for information. Recommend appropriate procedural changes to existing process to management using root cause analysis Research and develop solutions for issues being addressed by the stakeholders Attend trainings to maintain up-to-date knowledge of business, team and self-development Technically competent to act as first point of reference for day-to-day queries Demonstrates excellent analytical, consultative, communication and judgment skills Handle projects assigned by the business teams Understand business need & develop reports using SQL/Power BI/VBA

Principal Responsibilities

Expected to work and review the daily/weekly/monthly BAU reports Monitors and reviews procedures of work handled for front office teams Reports unexpected/erroneously applied breaches Detects and advises management of potential improvements to the existing process and recommends procedural changes when required Maintain and discuss partner's performance on regular basis Hold quality huddles on regular basis Produce metrics related to staffing, cross training & bandwidth of the team Review individual partner performance on a regular basis. Share feedback & seek feedback for partner & self-development Contributing towards developing a consistent and disciplined process to support business and other stakeholders

Skills / Experience

  • 7 to 8 years of overall experience & 12 months experience in managing a team
  • Graduate (MBA or equivalent)
  • Securities Lending, Portfolio Management & Investment Performance experience is preferred
  • Mathematically minded individual with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in pressurized environment & manage priorities effectively
  • Highly motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient system knowledge of Macro level excel, MS Access & Power BI
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Excellent team management skills
