Job description
Core Responsibilities
- Develops short to mid-term (1-3 years) strategy of overall Category Plans
- Builds and maintains key relationships with internal business customers, legal and finance partners at the director level.
- Directs and assigns sourcing resources to continually update and execute against Category Plan
- Sets category strategies, goals and KPIs to optimize spend, reduce risk and improve supplier performance.
- Influences business partner strategy and decision making through market intel and data insights.
- Provides leadership, coaching, training and development of sourcing professionals.
- Creates consistent sourcing and RFP standards for outcomes and deliverables across the business teams.
- Drives ongoing review of Spend Under Management to maximize sourcing impact to the business.
- Develops and presents impactful presentations influencing business strategies and decision making.
- Develops and implements supplier segmentation and supplier management strategies for key suppliers.
- Proactively identifies industry insights and new supplier capabilities to leapfrog the competition, build supply chain resilience, and manage market and supplier risks.
Years Of Experience - 13+ years of experience in procurement and vendor management, of which minimum 8+ years of experience in managing IT category.
- Experience in a retail or Business to Consumer environment
Education Qualification & Certifications - Bachelor's degree in business or related field with an overall experience of 13+ years. Masters in SCM is a good value add, candidates with required skills and certification in supply management (CPSM, CIPS etc.) will be preferred.
Skill Set Required Primary Skills (must have)- Experience in categories - IT, IT professional services
- Experience in project management and vendor management is a must.
- Experience in dealing with USA/international stakeholders, suppliers and/or clients is a must.
- Experience in building RFPs, SOWs, Contracting and running projects is a must.
- Demonstrate knowledge in tax, contracts, ITAM (HAM/SAM) and software commercial licensing construct.
- Experience in negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts spanning multiple regions, US vendor market knowledge.
- Experience collaborating and communicating at the executive level.
- Experience managing cross-functional project teams and resources.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, Power BI analytics.
- Required experience in IT procurement for US market.
- Good English communication skills required to interact with US stakeholders.
- Able to multi-task and respond quickly and effectively to the challenges faced in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure, able to plan and prioritize workload.
- Flexible to adapt to work time needs as required by stakeholders.
Secondary Skills (desired)- People management skill.
- Exposure in other categories – Non-IT, Supply chain, Professional services would be considered as a value add.
