Job description
A highly successful division of one of the worlds most recognised brands has a new vacancy for a Distribution Manager to join its precision engineering division in the UK. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the UK strategy for indirect sales channels including agents, distributors and online platforms and candidates are sought with a proven track record of delivery gained within a highly competitive precision engineering sector.
Commutable from: UK - Remote
Salary: £ 55,000 - £ 65,000 + company car + bonus + healthcare + benefits
Suitable for: Distribution Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Director.
The Role
You will develop sales plans and strategies to effectively grow business across a range of indirect sales channels including agents, distributors, integrators and online platforms. You will work alongside and partner a team of sales professionals in a driven, fast-growing marketplace to fully understand the indirect channel landscape across UK and Ireland whilst developing the business plans to win substantial and profitable new business.
Working with new and developing existing partners you will negotiate and manage customer agreements and work across a range of indirect channels to improve sales, margin and end user experience.
A key member of the senior management team, you will work with the groups product development and commercial teams to develop new innovate products for market and will keep up to date with the industries latest trends and technologies.
The Person
Industry related experience in manufacturing, metalworking, tooling or precision engineering is essential.
Excellent understanding and proven track record of growing and managing indirect sales channels (agents, distributors, integrators and online platforms).
Previous experience of negotiating, implementing and managing contracts across indirect channels.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
A self-directed, results oriented leader with strong technical proficiency with a proven track record of working at strategic levels.
