Job Purpose :

To support in evaluating and monitoring business processes from a regulatory standpoint. Works towards ensuring that the management and employees are in compliance with the regulatory and statutory notifications received, that company policies and procedures are being followed.

Core Responsibilities:

Facilitate in setting up, supporting with evaluation and monitoring of business models and process from a regulatory and compliance standpoint;

and thus support with the following processes/procedures: Liaise with distribution channels in setting up business models, journeys and process for all corporate agents including Bank, broker channels and other channels. Evaluate the client onboarding journeys (online as well as offline) and ensure adherence to regulations. Facilitate with business to ensure seamless journeys Benchmark with the industry, identify best practices across and evaluate possibilities of embedding them in our journeys to simplify our journeys. Assist in setting up frameworks and mechanisms to review the business models and journeys to ensure adherence top regulations. Help in identifying lacunae and implementing controls points

Ensuring Timely filings Timely follow up, hygiene check of data and Filing of reports to external and internal stakeholders. Maintaining of repository of the filings ensured during the reporting period. Assisting with industry peer views in case of any query / clarification.

Adherence to Advertisement Regulations Assist in developing the advertisement framework to ensure compliance of all the advertisement regulations Work along with Marketing and distribution teams on brand, product and generic advertisements to ensure regulatory adherence. Ensure timely filing of all the advertisements with the regulator & liaise with the regulator from time to time in case of any issues Ensure compliance wrt the websites are adhered to.

Anti Money Laundering (AML) Process Review system generated alerts and perform enhanced due diligence on customers in an effort to prevent from being exploited by money laundering or terrorist financing activities Prepare Suspicious Activity Reports in compliance with established regulatory guidelines and time frames Obtain documentary proof of suspicious transactions and ensure effective record keeping of suspicious transaction identified and reporting to the FIU in line with the regulatory requirements Assist with AML Compliance Training to Employees especially on the identification and reporting of suspicious transactions. Keeping updates from Media reports on money laundering and terrorist financing issues. Filing STR, CCR,NTR and CTR timely to the authority.

Qualification (Education And Experience) 5+ years Qualified Company Secretary (CS), LLB preferred

Key Stakeholders :

Internal : Sr./ Middle management in, Information Technology, Finance, HR, Operations, Distribution and other related functions , Auditors External : IRDAI, Financial Intelligence Unit, Peer Insurers.
