Overview:
As a Network Security professional you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organizations network infrastructure. Your expertise in implementing and maintaining security measures will be essential in safeguarding our network from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain network security measures including firewalls encryption and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct regular security assessments and risk analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Monitor network traffic for any unusual activities and potential security breaches.
- Implement and manage VPNs for secure remote access.
- Develop and implement security policies procedures and standards for the organizations network.
- Respond to security incidents and conduct forensic investigations when necessary.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure security requirements are integrated into the network infrastructure.
- Stay updated with the latest security trends tools and technologies to recommend and implement security enhancements.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a culture of security best practices.
- Perform regular security audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CISSP CISM or CISA is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in network security including firewall administration and intrusion detection.
- Expertise in implementing and managing VPNs for secure remote access.
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and tools.
- Strong understanding of encryption techniques and best practices.
- Knowledge of security standards and regulations such as ISO 27001 NIST and GDPR.
- Experience in conducting security assessments and penetration testing.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Ability to stay current with emerging security threats and technologies.
