RAIN is seeking a
General Manager – Corporate Affairs to join the senior management team at its Corporate Office, Hyderabad. You will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with external stakeholders as well as overseeing the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. The primary stakeholder focus would be on suppliers, government agencies, and the local communities where the company runs its operations. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in building value-adding stakeholder relations and managing impactful CSR programs. The successful candidate will also demonstrate professionalism and integrity in all interactions and communications while staying committed to ethical business practices. Responsibilities Establish and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, such as suppliers, service providers, government agencies, and media outlets Serve as the first point of contact and negotiate contracts with critical suppliers and service providers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes Monitor CSR activities while ensuring they are performed effectively, on time and within budget Prepare and present regular updates to management on the progress of stakeholder engagements and status of CSR activities Develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships across the organisation, especially with Operations, Finance, Procurement and Legal teams Represent the company at meetings or conferences with trade associations Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Communications, or a related field from a reputed, accredited university Minimum 20 years of experience managing external relations, stakeholder engagement, or corporate social responsibility Proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with diverse stakeholders, cultivate partnerships, and collaborate effectively across departments or functions within organizations General knowledge of business, including statutory and regulatory requirements pertaining to the manufacturing industry in India Project management skills to plan and implement CSR initiatives successfully Conflict resolution and negotiation skills to address issues and disputes effectively Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a talent for negotiating effectively Fluency in Telugu and English Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of one or more of the following: sustainability principles, ESG frameworks, and CSR trends Willingness and ability to travel occasionally Fluency in Hindi About the Company Rain Cements Limited (RCL) started its operations on August 15, 1986, which coincides with India’s 39th Independence Day.
