Job Summary :
As a Power Electronics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and optimization of power management systems for electric/hybrid autonomous vehicles. Your primary responsibilities will include designing battery management systems (BMS), power distribution systems, and implementing efficient power electronics solutions to enhance the overall performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Battery Management System (BMS) Design: Develop and optimize battery management algorithms to ensure efficient charging, discharging, and balancing of battery cells. Implement safety features to monitor and manage battery temperature, voltage, and current, ensuring the longevity and safety of the battery pack.
- Power Distribution System Design: Design and optimize power distribution systems for electric vehicles, including high-voltage DC distribution and low-voltage systems. Ensure reliable power delivery to various components, such as traction motors, auxiliary systems, and on-board electronics.
- Design and optimize power electronics components, such as inverters, converters, and DC-DC converters, to efficiently manage and convert electrical power within the EV system. Collaborate with the broader engineering team to integrate power electronics into the overall vehicle architecture.
- Conduct analysis and simulations to identify areas for efficiency improvement in power conversion and distribution. Implement innovative solutions to enhance overall energy efficiency and performance of the electric vehicle.
- Develop test plans and conduct validation tests to ensure the reliability and performance of power management systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of power electronics systems into the overall vehicle architecture.
Background/Skills :
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
2. Practical experience with power electronics hardware and electrical systems.
3. Experience in low and medium voltage power conversion ,digital control loop for Inverters, Chargers and DC-DC converters.
4. Expertise in Converters, motor drive technologies, high power electronics, electric machines and controls.
5. Strong understanding of battery technologies, BMS, and power distribution systems.
6. Proficiency in simulation tools (e.g.MATLAB/Simulink) and CAD tools for schematic and PCB design.
6. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations for electric vehicles.
7. Knowledge of CAN communication is a plus.
8. Knowledge of STM32 is a plus.
