AXISCADES is headquartered in Bangalore and has offices across India, North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region About the Job As a Product Engineer at EMS in Hyderabad, you'll join a dedicated team focused on either Project Engineering, Well Completions, Manifold & Interconnect, Drilling & Intervention, or New Product Development. Your role involves designing, developing, and optimizing products within your team's area of focus. What You’ll Do Support project engineering, new product/technology development, product improvement, and standardization projects based on assigned group. Develop product design and geometry standards documentation, along with product qualification requirements. Create and review part reports, drawings, engineering specifications, and standards to ensure compliance. Define product quality, material, welding, and non-destructive examination (NDE) requirements. Manage project schedules and deliverables, providing technical assistance and progress updates to management as needed. Support engineering work packages on a project basis, ensuring that project requirements are accurately captured in engineering deliverables. Create and review engineering designs, including drawings, part reports, and specifications, for existing and new technology or projects, ensuring compliance with standards and performance requirements. Actively manage and provide timely updates to engineering schedules, communicating engineering updates to the project and engineering management team. Prepare documentation, information, and communications such as Engineering Change Notices (ECN), part reports, and engineering specifications, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures related to engineering functions and reporting systems. Facilitate Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and provide design solutions to correct non-conformances while considering safety, quality, schedule, and cost. Support Quality Notification dispositions and address supply chain issues as they arise. What We’re Looking For Degreed Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with this requirement reduced to 2 years for candidates with a Masters or PhD. Demonstrated experience in supporting engineering for subsea projects, adhering to safety, quality, delivery, and cost constraints. Proficiency in reviewing engineering designs, documents, layouts, and calculations, with the ability to interpret Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and structural analysis results. Strong knowledge of engineering disciplines and physical modeling techniques such as solid mechanics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer, including experience conducting design analysis (e.g., hoop stress, flexibility, buckling, burst, fatigue). Experience working with ASME, API, NORSOK, and DNV Codes and Standards relevant to subsea equipment design and manufacturing. Exposure to various manufacturing processes including forging, hot and cold extrusion, cladding, HIP, and induction bending. Familiarity with welding codes and practices such as ASME IX and API 1104. Knowledge of Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) codes and practices including UT, PAUT, PT, RT, and MPI per ASME V.Job tags
