Job description
Job Summary:
A Tech Lead MERN Developer is responsible for leading and coordinating a team of developers to design, develop, and maintain web applications using the MERN stack. This role involves technical leadership, project management, and hands-on coding experience.
Key responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of MERN developers.
Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Architect and design scalable and efficient MERN stack solutions.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in web development.
Lead the team in architecting, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
Project Management:
Plan and prioritize development tasks and project timelines.
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope.
Allocate resources, set goals, and monitor project progress.
Mitigate risks and solve technical challenges as they arise.
Agile methodology (scrum framework) utilization in project execution.
Software Development:
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js.
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
Debug and resolve technical issues and bugs.
Ensure the security and performance of web applications.
Micro service knowledge.
Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines on cloud platforms.
Team Collaboration:
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the development team.
Conduct regular team meetings and communication to ensure everyone is aligned.
Encourage knowledge sharing and skill development among team members.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and enforce quality assurance processes, including testing and code reviews.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free software.
Perform testing and debugging as needed.
Documentation:
Maintain thorough documentation of code, architecture, and project-related information.
Create technical documentation for team members and stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
Primary Technical Skills:
MERN Stack Expertise: Mastery of MongoDB (for database), Express.js (for server), React (for front-end), and Node.js (for back-end) is fundamental. A deep understanding of these technologies and their integration is essential for effective development and leadership.
JavaScript: Proficiency in JavaScript is a must, as its the primary language for both front-end (React) and back-end (Node.js) development in the MERN stack.
Server-side Development: Strong skills in server-side development with Node.js and Express.js, including building APIs, routing, and middleware configuration.
Front-end Development: Proficient in building responsive and interactive user interfaces using React.js, including state management with tools like Redux or context API.
Database Management: Expertise in database design, optimization, and management using MongoDB or other NoSQL databases. Familiarity with SQL databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL can be advantageous.
Version Control: Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for code collaboration, branching, and merging.
API Integration: Ability to integrate with third-party APIs and services to enhance the functionality of web applications.
Secondary Skill
Should have a good understanding of Agile Methodologies and Waterfall Methodology.
Should pay good attention to details
