JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE
Summary of the main purpose of the job as the basic function and scope of the job in terms of organization, geographic areas supported, financial or other volume/size metrics, strategic impact and nature of supervision received or exercised related to the job in a descriptive manner
The main purpose of the Head division is to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in emergency situations, particularly in relation to fire incidents. The division's primary function is emergency response and fire protection. They are responsible for promptly responding to emergency calls, assessing the situation, and taking appropriate actions to mitigate the risks and protect lives and property. The scope of the job involves various tasks such as coordinating emergency response efforts, managing fire suppression operations, conducting rescue operations, and providing medical assistance when needed. The Head division also plays a crucial role in fire prevention, implementing safety protocols, conducting inspections, and educating the community on fire safety measures. Head division's main purpose is to respond to emergencies/ Fire Protection, specifically fire incidents, and ensure the safety of individuals by employing effective emergency response strategies and fire protection measures.

- Provide strong leadership to the emergency response team, ensuring clear communication, efficient coordination, and effective decision-making during emergencies.
- Develop and implement strategies planning to enhance emergency response capabilities, considering factors like resource allocation, risk assessment, and response protocols.
- Manage and supervise a team of emergency responders, ensuring proper training, performance evaluation, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, fire prevention strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
- Assume the role of incident commander during emergencies, overseeing response operations, coordinating with external agencies, and ensuring the safety of personnel and affected individuals.
- Organize Drills and facilitate training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of emergency response personnel, including fire suppression techniques, hazardous materials handling, and first aid.
- Ensure compliance with local and IMI regulations related to fire safety, emergency response, and occupational health and safety.
- Knowledgeable of developing and manage the division's budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources, procurement of essential safety equipment, and maintenance of firefighting apparatus.
- Promoting and conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards, evaluate vulnerabilities, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies to prevent emergencies or minimize their impact.
- Collaborate with community promises, and businesses to provide fire safety education, conduct drills, and promote awareness of emergency response measures.
- Oversee the equipment maintenance, inspection, and testing of firefighting equipment, such as fire trucks, hoses, breathing apparatus, and personal protective gear, ensuring their operational readiness.
- Strong communication in both English and Arabic for Reporting and Analysis, ensuring accurate documentation of emergency incidents, including incident reports, statistics, and analysis to identify trends, areas for improvement, and lessons learned.
Qualifications & Experience Education
Bachelor's degree in Fire Management / Industrial Security Management or related discipline.
Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations)- National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) certificate.
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certificate.
- Fire & Safety Equipment Inspector certificate.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)- High leadership ability to inspire and motivate a team during high-pressure situations and provide clear guidance and direction.
- Strong understanding of emergency response procedures, incident command systems, and the ability to make quick and effective decisions in critical situations.
- Comprehensive understanding of fire prevention, suppression techniques, and firefighting tactics to ensure the safety of individuals and the protection of property.
- Excellent in communication skills verbal and written to effectively communicate with team members, other emergency response agencies, and the public during emergencies.
- Capacity to analyze complex problems, identify solutions, and implement effective strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of responders and the public.
- Ability to create a cohesive and high-performing team, fostering collaboration, trust, and respect among team members.
- Knowledgeable and experience to develop and deliver training programs, ensuring team members are well-equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond to emergencies effectively.
Experience At least 9-15 years of relevant job responsibilities.
Languages
Excellent Communication Skills in English & Arabic (oral & written).
